Thanks for a great winter sports season!

This was the first year since joining a new conference the Minnesota Classic Athletic Association (MCAA). Both the boys and girls basketball teams fought hard in what has proved to be a tough conference, with Heritage Christian Academy and Legacy Christian Academy both representing the conference at the State Tournament in the past two years.

UCA has now joined the elite ranks of teams to represent at the State Level. It only took a short three years for UCA to win a section title and earn the right to play in the State Tournament. With 147 Girls Basketball teams in the state, the UCA Thunder Girls Basketball team proved to be one of the best ending as a top 8 team in the State of Minnesota.

A special congratulations to our top boys players, Micaiah Miller and Mich Jensen who scored 167 and 122 respectively. As well as Josiah Hendley who earned 2nd team All-Conference while scoring an astounding 296 points as an 8th grader.

We would also like to celebrate our individual accomplishments on the girls basketball team. Brycelyn Brewster and Avery Vinar were voted unanimously to the 1st team All-Conference, while Allie Vinar and Lizzie Corley earned 2nd team All-Conference, and Megan Welch got an honorable mention. 

Lastly, UCA would like to thank all of our coaches involved in both our boys and girls programs. Our coaches spend hundreds of hours each season pouring into UCA athletes. Thank you for everything you do for the athletes and the community!
